The Mount Prospect Public Library is a mid-size, independent public library, located in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, located about 20 miles northwest of Chicago. Currently over 61,000 patrons are registered cardholders. The collection has approximately 443,200 items on file, with an annual circulation figure over 800,000.

The mission of the Library is to provide a gateway to knowledge and provide opportunities for lifelong learning.

The primary purpose of the Mount Morris Public Library is to make a positive contribution toward meeting the personal, educational, recreational, and cultural needs and interests of community residents. Service shall be provided on a fair and equitable basis to all individuals and groups.

The Mt. Zion District Library is a tax supported library serving a population base of 11,722 (according to the last census). There are approximately 30,000 plus items in the collection which includes print books, magazines, books on cds, music cds, DVDs and VHS tapes. We are a member of Rolling Prairie Library System.

The Nashville Public Library is a member of the Shawnee Library System. A consortium of over 95 libraries in the library system make their resources available through an online catalog called SILNET. The library system holds over 425,615 materials including over 394,000 books, and 28,000 compact discs, cassette tapes and books on cassette. Over 315 CD-ROMS are also now available for check-out.

The library offers various reading programs, children's hour, craft classes and book reviews during the year. The library has a limited amount of travel brochures available for tourists during the wintermonths when the Chamber of Commerce offices are closed.

The Orland Park Public Library serves the residents of the Village of Orland Park. Our library serves a population of over 57,000 people and we circulate over 625,000 items per year.
