Highland Park - Park District
The Park District of Highland Park, founded in 1909, operates and manages over 650 acres of land in 44 park areas, and offers approximately 3,000 recreation and seasonal programs. Facilities include an indoor ice arena, tennis and racquetball complex, two recreation centers, a nature center, an 18-hole golf course, driving range, adventure golf, aquapark, indoor pool, beaches, boat launch ramp and yacht club on Lake Michigan.

Located on historic Route 66, Lincoln known as the “namesake city” is the only town to be named for Abraham Lincoln before he became President. Lockport Park District
The Lockport Township Park District was organized in 1945 in order to provide recreation programs and park areas for the community. The Lockport Township Park District has a vast array of recreational opportunities available including an 18-hole golf course, an indoor tennis/fitness facility, and three pools (2 outdoor and 1 indoor), as well as 18 facilities, 40 parks, approximately 850 acres of property, and hundreds of recreational programs for all ages.

Mt. Prospect Park District is located approximately 35 miles northwest of Chicago. Encompassing more than 454 acres, the Park District provides recreation programs, facilities and services to portions of Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Des Plaines and Elk Grove Village with a total population of 215,000.

North Berwyn Park District
The North Berwyn Park District is an autonomous governmental entity established by the residents in 1976 to provide outdoor recreational areas and leisure service opportunities which foster community growth, family values, and enhance the quality of life.
Oak Brook Park District
The Oak Brook Park District owns and maintains seven parks in Oak Brook, totaling 150 acres. Central Park, located on Jorie Boulevard and Forest Gate Road, is home to the District’s Racquet Club, Family Recreation Center, Premiere Fitness Club, indoor Family Aquatic Center, Shelter, Gazebo, administration office and several outdoor athletic fields. Additional parks are located throughout Oak Brook’s residential areas: three in the Saddlebrook subdivision, one in the Yorkshire Woods subdivision (Chillem Park) and one in the Forest Glen subdivision. Athletic fields, playgrounds and walking paths are available in several locations for the enjoyment of the community.
Oak Park Park District
The Park District of Oak Park, created in 1912, serves the recreational needs of the 53,000 residents of Oak Park, providing over 3,000 recreation programs and special events annually. Overseen by a Board of five elected officials, the District owns an Administrative Center, two outdoor pools, an indoor ice rink, the Oak Park Conservatory, Cheney Mansion, Pleasant Home, a gymnastics center, seven recreation centers plus 13 parks totaling 80 acres of parkland.

Peoria Park District
The Pleasure Driveway and Park District of Peoria, organized in 1894, was the first park system formed in Illinois. Seventy years later in 1963, the City of Peoria Playground and Recreation Department merged with the Park District, thus expanding the potential program and facility responsibilities of the Park District.
